TOWN OF WEST SENECA ERIE COUNTY/TOWN TAX 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Warrant for County and Town taxes for the Town of West Seneca for the year 2018 was received by me on December 26, 2017 along with the tax roll on January 5, 2018 and that all persons and corporations named therein are required to pay their taxes at my office at the West Seneca Town Hall, 1250 Union Road, West Seneca, New York, on or before the 15th day of February 2018 and when so paid shall be received with no additions or penalties. Penalties will be added after that date pursuant to Chapter 812 of the Laws of 1942 as amended. On all taxes paid between February 16th and February 28th, 1.5% shall be added. If paid between March 1st and March 15th, 3% shall be added; if paid between March 16th and April 2nd, 4.5% shall be added; if paid between April 3rd and April 16th, 6% shall be added; if paid between April 17th and April 30th, 7.5% shall be added. On May 1st, 2018 the 7.5% penalty fee is added to the unpaid levy, forming the new base tax then due. Thereafter, interest is added to the new base at the rate of 1.5% per month on the 1st of each month. Unpaid taxes will be returned to the Erie County Commissioner of Finance on July 2, 2018.

Such bills can be paid by check, money order or draft through the mail or may be paid at the office of the West Seneca Town Clerk/Receiver of Taxes, West Seneca Town Hall, 1250 Union Road, West Seneca, New York 14224, during the period of such collection from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday. In addition to the regular hours, collection will also be made on Saturday, February 10, 2018, 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and Thursday, February 15, 2018, 8:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. and at the following branches of M & T Bank: Southgate Plaza, 1024 Union Road; Union Square, 2180 Union Road; and Slade Avenue, 10 Slade Avenue through February 15th during their regular business hours. M & T Bank does not accept partial payments or cash payments from non M & T Bank customers.
