2011/12 Snow Plow Service Bids

Sealed bids will be accepted by West Seneca Fire District #4 for snow plow services at West Seneca Fire District #4, 100 Lein Road, West Seneca, New York 14224, until October 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., at which time all of the snow plow bids received will be publicly read aloud. All bidders shall show proof of insurance along with and at the time of their bid.

Specifications and bidding instructions for the Snowplowing services may be obtained by interested vendors free of charge by contacting Michelle Schwartzmeyer, Secretary, at(716) 675-9639 .

The West Seneca Fire District #4 reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid best suited for its specific needs.

Notice to the Citizens of the

Erie County Consortium

The Citizen Forums, part of the 2012-13 Consolidated Plan process, are intended to provide an opportunity for citizens to express community development and housing needs and to discuss possible projects which would benefit low- and moderate-income persons, the elderly and handicapped in Erie County. The Citizen Forum will be held on:

Monday, September 19, 2011 6:30 PM: Lackawanna Library- Community Room, 560 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY

Tuesday, September 20, 2011 7:00 PM: Depew Village Office-Council Chambers, 85 Manitou Street, Depew, NY

Thursday, September 22, 2011 7:00 PM: Concord Town Hall-Court Room, 86 Franklin Street, Springville, NY

Proposed projects, meeting U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development national objectives and eligibility criteria, will use federal funds in the following Commu- nity Development Consortium communities: Cities of Lackawanna and Tonawanda, the Villages of Akron, Alden, Angola, Depew, East Aurora, Farnham, Gowanda, Lancaster, North Collins, Orchard Park, and Springville, and the Towns of Alden, Aurora, Boston, Brant, Clarence, Colden, Collins, Concord, Eden, Elma, Evans, Grand Island, Holland, Lancaster, Marilla, Newstead, North Collins, Orchard Park, Sardinia, Wales and West Seneca.

The Erie County Urban Consortium is eligible for Federal Community Development, HOME, Home Down-payment Assistance Program and Emergency Shelter grants under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, the HOME Investment Partnership Program, the American Dream Down payment Initiative and the Stuart B. McKinney Homeless Program.

Citizens are urged to attend this Forum as well as local municipal Community Development hearings to make known their views and/or written proposals on potential projects to be submitted for possible funding by the Federal Community Development, HOME, Home Down-payment Assistance and Emergency Shelter Grant Programs.

The Forums will also present a review of prior Community Development projects and expenditures and a discussion of eligible activities. Each meeting room is wheelchair accessible. Those needing special arrangements should call the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning at 858-6013, by September 16, 2011.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE

TOWN OF WEST SENECA

A Public Hearing will be held on the 26th of September, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the West Seneca Town Hall, 1250 Union Road, at which time and place the West Seneca Town Board will meet to hear all persons interested in the use of Federal Community Development funds in the Town of West Seneca.

The Town of West Seneca is eligible for a Federal Community Development grant under Title 12 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

The purpose of this hearing is to provide an opportunity for citizens to express community development and housing needs and to discuss possible projects which would benefit low and moderate income persons in the Town of West Seneca.

Citizens are urged to attend this meeting to make known their views and/or written proposals on the Town of West Seneca’s selection of potential projects to be submitted for possible funding by the Federal Community Development Grant Program.

The hearing will also present a review of prior Community Development projects and expenditures and a discussion of eligible activities. The meeting room is wheelchair accessible.
