Bee Heard

.I am totally opposed to the library/coffee shop $9 million renovation at the town hall. Everyone I’ve talked to is opposed to it, too. The only fair way to have this done is to take a fair vote; put it on the agenda for November.

.I took my grandchildren for a walk in the Burchfield Nature and Art Center only to discover there is so much poison ivy that we had to leave immediately. I am so disappointed that all that money was spent on that building and the park, and they are both neglected. It’s amazing how much it has been ignored through the years.

.Nine million dollars to extend a library that doesn’t need extending, but we do need street lights on Deer Chase and Royal Coach Roads. Why aren’t there street lights on these two roads? It is very dark, and you can’t see pedestrians; it is totally unsafe. Why hasn’t the town done something about this?
