McGuire facilities, BOCES partner for nursing program

The McGuire Group, operator of five health care facilities in Western New York, has partnered with Erie 2 BOCES to provide a 12-month Licensed Practical Nurse certificate program. Participants can have their education fully funded and are guaranteed a position at one of The McGuire Group’s five-star rated facilities upon graduation.

Applicants must be 18 years of age by July 2018, have a high school diploma or GED and successfully pass an entrance exam. Those who are interested can download an informational packet with study links or apply online at www.mcguire group.com.

Candidates may also pick up an informational packet by stopping into Seneca Health Care Center, 2987 Seneca St., or any of the other locations including: Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Lancaster and Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda.

The McGuire Group facilities provide 24-hour skilled nursing care, post-hospital and outpatient rehabilitation, palliative care, memory care and respite/short-term care.

The facilities continuously receive outstanding ratings from the federal government and are among an elite group of facilities that finished in the first quintile of New York State’s quality benchmarking pool for four out of four years.
