Bee Heard

.Since West Seneca is looking into contracting with an outside firm to do PR, maybe the West Seneca School District could do the same.

.The polluted air coming from fires on Emerald Drive is unbearable. This is not only a quality-of-life but a quality-of-health issue, not a neighbor problem. It’s pretty sad when you can’t open windows for fresh air, especially if you have asthma, COPD or other breathing difficulties. You are a prisoner in your own home.

.This is the fifth straight day of hearing trees and shrubs being cut down again on Veronica Lane. Next week we can read in The Bee on how we need to kill the deer because they are a nuisance. No wonder this takes place with all this new development. When it comes to tax time, they will tell us we need a tax increase. Well, with the new development our taxes should be going down, not increasing.

.It’s unfortunate that drivers on Orchard Park Road were subjected to the remains of a dead deer for more than two days last weekend. Having called animal control to no avail, then West Seneca Police, I was told it would have to wait until Monday morning. Someone should always be on call for animal control, as problems don’t cease just because it’s the weekend.
