Dunn Tire hosts National Night Out event

Dunn Tire partnered with the West Seneca Police Department to host the town’s annual National Night Out event Tuesday evening. The event was held at Dunn Tire’s West Seneca location, 2150 Union Road.

The event featured a number of family-friendly events and activities, as well as crime prevention information and equipment demonstrations from local police and fire departments.

There was a live burn demonstration by local fire departments, an appearance by the Mercy Flight helicopter, child safety seat installation and inspection, face painting, a bounce house, games and food trucks. A number of schools, community groups and businesses also participated and assisted in the community partnership.

“Bringing our neighbors together with our law enforcement community and first responders is part of the fabric of what makes a strong community,” said Robert Clark, managing director of retail operations for Dunn Tire. “Dunn Tire has been proud to serve people from every neighborhood in our region for 45 years. Like all good neighbors, we want our neighborhoods to foster the sense of community that epitomizes Western New York.”

According to the organization, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make local neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

The event enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community, and provides an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances, the organization said. This is the 35-year anniversary of this nationwide event held in communities across the United States.

Established in 1973, Dunn Tire operates a total of 29 retail locations from Erie, Pennsylvania, to Syracuse, including 14 locations across Western New York.
